Dental Screening and Case Management Program
The Division of Public Health, Bureau of Oral Health and Dental Services, believes every child has the right to be healthy. A healthy mouth is an important part of having good overall health. The Delaware Smile Check Program is a preventive dental screening and case management program dedicated to identifying dental problems that can prevent a child from reaching good health.

Dental Services Offered

  • Dental Screenings (a visual evaluation)
  • Fluoride application (to strengthen teeth)
  • Case management (help finding a dentist, insurance, resources, and answering dental questions).
  • Toothbrush, toothpaste, dental floss and a prize.

Who Can Participate

  • Students who are uninsured or insured by Medicaid or DCHIP
  • Students who have not had a dental cleaning or examination in the past 7 months that are ' uninsured or insured by Medicaid and DCHIP.
